As you know, distance learning is in full swing for all members of the Monrovia Unified School District community. Everyone has such an important role to plan. This newsletter will come to you weekly while we are in distance learning mode to update you and to give you helpful tips during our last term of the school year.
One of our main focus points for our educators and students has been having a growth mindset. A growth mindset unlocks our ability to learn and grow, especially during challenging times. As your children complete their many tasks in distance learning, it is our great hope that they will continue learning and developing healthy curiosity about the world that we live in. While you are busy being parent and teacher, remember to take breaks to explore the world virtually and through family conversations and communication.
We, at the Monrovia Unified School District, appreciate our parent partners more than ever. Please do not hesitate to contact us via email, or phone (626) 471-2031. While we are not in the office regularly, the Educational Services secretary, Jill Marie Plaza, checks the phone messages several times a day and she is working safely from home.
Warmest Regards,
Dr. Sue Kaiser,
Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services
