Promotions and Graduations
This school year, we will honor our promoting and graduating students with a series of drive-thru promotion celebrations and in-person commencement ceremonies.
We are very excited to host these events for our students, celebrating their transitions and achievements during the 2020-21 school year. Our students have persevered through very difficult times, and continued to reach high levels of success throughout the entire school year.

Vaccines for Ages 12+
Earlier this month, the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine was approved for anyone ages 12 and up. If you are interested in receiving a vaccine, please schedule an appointment using MyTurn.ca.gov. On that site, you may schedule your first and second-dose appointments, eliminating the need to register on-site.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for consent to receive the vaccine.
Please be sure to take the following with you:
- Photo ID
- Proof that you live or work in Los Angeles County
- Proof that you are 12 or older
- The Pfizer vaccine is the only vaccine authorized for 12- to 15-year-olds at this time. You will be turned away if you go to a site that does not offer Pfizer. Visit VaccinateLaCounty.com to see a list of sites offering the Pfizer vaccine.
Looking Ahead: 2021-22 School Year
As we inch closer to summer break and the start of the 2021-22 school year, Monrovia Unified is excited to announce the full reopening of all our school sites beginning August 18. Los Angeles County and California have made great strides in controlling COVID-19, with low positivity rates and a great number of vaccinations.
Therefore, we are confident our students will return full-time. As always, the District will continue to put the health and safety of our students, teachers, staff, families, and school community in the forefront of our decision-making. More information about our full return to school in August will be shared over the summer months.
For our students who thrive in an independent, online environment, Mountain Park School will continue offering such opportunities. Through our virtual academy and independent study, our students will have the option of continuing their studies remotely. For more information, please visit Mountain Park’s website or call (626) 471-3002.
