Monrovia Unified School District robotics teams won multiple awards at the First Tech Challenge Inter-League Tournament on February 18th.
All nine of MUSD’s middle and high school robotics teams competed in the third CA-SoCal ILT of the season hosted by Monrovia High School.
Here are the awards that Monrovia Robotics took home from the tournament:
- Kings and Queens (MHS): Winning Alliance - Captain, Innovate Award, Control Award 2nd place
- Neptune (MHS): Winning Alliance - 2nd pick
- Suit Bots (MHS): Think Award, Motivate Award 2nd place, Promote Award 2nd place
- Team Loki (MHS): Innovate Award 3rd Place, Motivate Award 3rd place, Semifinalist Team - 2nd pick
- System Overload (Clifton): Judges’ Choice Award
- Cougarobotics Alpha (Santa Fe): Semifinalist Team - 1st pick
Kings and Queens, Neptune, and Suit Bots will move on to Regional Championships on March 11 to compete against the best teams in Southern California to earn a spot at World Championships in Houston, TX, in April.
The other six Monrovia Robotics teams, including Spectrum, Eclipse, and Cougarobotics Omega, will wrap up their season in the upcoming weeks. Our teams look forward to supporting each other as they prepare for Regionals.
