Dear Monrovia Community,

Monrovia Unified School District’s vision of offering world-class schools for our world –class students is reflected in the work being done this summer in our facilities. While budgets remain tight, we were able to find matching grants and capitalize on past work to renovate the air-conditioning systems at Plymouth Elementary School and Clifton Middle School. Most exciting is the use of our restricted funds to renovate the track and field at Wildcat Stadium.

Monrovia High School has been recognized by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE) with a place on the 2018-19 California Honor Roll as part of a national effort to identify higher-performing schools and districts that are improving student outcomes.

At Monrovia Unified, preparing our students for college and career is at the forefront of everything we do. In June, we celebrated promotions for our students from our five elementary schools and two middle schools, as well as commencement ceremonies for our high schools.

2019-2020 LCAP for public review.

Wildcat Stadium roared as administrators, teachers, and family and friends celebrated 367 Class of 2019 graduates who said goodbye to Monrovia High School during an evening commencement ceremony on June 5.

Monrovia Unified celebrated 270 students who graduated from the District’s Adult School, Canyon Oaks High School, and Mountain Park School during ceremonies that celebrated the achievements and successes of each student.

Monrovia families are buzzing about expansions in instructional options at Wild Rose School, including this year’s successful restructuring as a School of Creative Arts and the 2019-20 addition of dual language immersion in Spanish.

At Monrovia Unified, we are committed to preparing our students to graduate from high school equipped with the tools they need to be successful in college and careers. As our school year comes to an end, I am proud to say that our Class of 2019 graduates are responsible citizens who embrace diversity, think creatively and critically, and make a difference in the lives of others.
