Dear Monrovia Unified Community,

Today, Friday, Nov. 6, there will be a film shoot at Monrovia High School taking place. This film shoot will include filming from a helicopter.

For their longtime support of the District and Monrovia High School (MHS) Athletics, Fred and Diane Bowden were honored during an Oct. 27 dedication ceremony that named MHS’s weight room the ‘Fred and Diane Bowden Weight Room.’

There are multiple reports of issues with ClassLink and it is confirmed on their website that they are currently having issues.

Join us during our virtual 2020-21 State of the Schools Address and learn all about our District successes, transition to a digital environment, steps in navigating the pandemic, our Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan and future instruction! The event will premiere on our Facebook beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21! Follow us @MonroviaSchools!

As a result of the Bobcat Fire, we have needed to postpone the event. The new date of our second annual State of the Schools Address is Oct. 21, 2020.

Given the perilous air quality, we are dismissing students from school through the end of this week. We understand the burden placed upon families during these continued crisis and hope that this offers some level of relief.
