Dear Monrovia Unified Community,

It is hard to believe that we have already reached the end of the semester. In a couple of weeks, we will say goodbye to 2020 and look ahead to a new year, one we all hope is full of new opportunities and experiences for us all – but especially for our students.

We would like to inform parents that the last day of meal distribution in the month of December, will be this Friday, December 18, 2020.

It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that one of our high school students tragically passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. This will be a painful time for the student’s family, friends, and classmates. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Dear Monrovia Unified Community,

As we near the end of a very challenging year, I want to remind you all that the health and safety of our students and school community is Monrovia Unified’s top priority. At this time, our students are deep into their online studies and may face additional levels of stress due to the combination of personal isolation and online workloads.

MUSD community and families:

The Thanksgiving Day Holiday is next Thursday, Nov. 26. There will be no classes for the week of Nov. 23.

We have great news: Monrovia High School will be distributing meals to all the children in our community on Monday, Nov. 23 and Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Please be advised that Wednesday, November 11, 2020, is our Veteran’s Day Holiday. As a result, our Food Services department will be distributing double grab and go meals for the children in the community on Tuesday, November 10th, from 7:30 am – 11:30 am.

Please join the District for informational webinars "Developing a Hybrid Model of Learning" on December 10, 2020, at both 10am and 6pm, to share information and thoughts gathered through ThoughtExchanges from parents, students and staff on the Districts plan to develop a hybrid learning model.
