During the Board of Education Meeting on March 24, the Board approved a Secondary Hybrid Instructional Model, with a proposed return to in-person instruction beginning the week of April 19.

Dear Monrovia Unified Community,

I hope you had the opportunity to join us yesterday for our Secondary Hybrid Instructional Model Webinar. During the webinar, our Secondary Task Force group detailed the proposed hybrid schedules and recommended moving forward with a 90-minute Block Schedule in a three-period day.

Dear Monrovia Unified Community,

Our Food Services department will not be distributing meals to our community’s children on Friday, March 19, 2021 due to the scheduled Staff Professional Development Day. Instead, we have distributed double breakfast, lunch, supper, and snack meals to all the children in our community today, Thursday, March 18, 2021 in all of our school sites.

Dear Monrovia Unified Community,

As we move forward in the process of reopening our schools, Monrovia Unified’s Secondary Task Force group will present its proposed Hybrid Instructional Model for our middle and high schools during a webinar for the community, tomorrow, March 18. If your child will continue instruction through Distance Learning, please join us as the webinar will also address how our students will access their education remotely.

From the very start of distance learning, Monrovia Unified has committed its time to ensuring our students and teachers have the tools and resources they need to be successful. In conjunction with those efforts, our Elementary and Secondary Task Force groups have worked tirelessly to develop Hybrid Instructional Models that allow our students to return for in-person instruction.
