El FBI está advirtiendo a las personas para que sean cautelosas de los sitios web maliciosos y de aplicaciones pretendiendo rastrear los casos mundiales del COVID-19. Los criminales están usando sitios web y aplicaciones maliciosas para infectar y bloquear los dispositivos hasta que un pago sea recibido.

As we take on our second week of student dismissal, I want to assure you that the well-being of our students, staff, families, and community remain at the forefront of every decision. We are all learning during this time. Whether learning how to navigate the Google Classroom platform or how to avoid cabin fever, we recognize the many and varied challenges surrounding us these days.

Throughout the process of student dismissal, Monrovia Unified has remained in constant communication with the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) and public health officials to ensure we are delivering the most up-to-date information regarding COVID-19. Following a recommendation today from LACOE, Monrovia Unified will extend student dismissal until Monday, May 4, with students returning on Tuesday, May 5.

A lo largo del proceso de salida de estudiantes, el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Monrovia ha permanecido en constante comunicación con la Oficina de Educación del Condado de Los Ángeles (LACOE) y los funcionarios de salud pública para garantizar que estamos emitiendo la información más actualizada sobre el COVID-19. Siguiendo la recomendación hoy de LACOE, el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Monrovia extenderá el receso de los estudiantes hasta el lunes 4 de mayo, y los estudiantes regresando el martes 5 de mayo.

Given the County and State orders designed to slow the spread of COVID-19 by enforcing stricter social distancing protocols, the Monrovia Unified School District Board of Education has modified the manner in which it will be conducting meetings for the duration of these orders.

This evening, Gov. Gavin Newsom issued a statewide “Stay at Home” order as the latest measure designed to slow the spread of COVID-19. The order follows a similar “Safer at Home” order issued by Los Angeles County. Both require nonessential businesses to cease operations that require workers to be present.

All of Monrovia schools will be providing free breakfast and lunch to all MUSD students. You may pick up the grab-and-go breakfast and lunch meals at the same time for your children at the school closest to your home.

Monrovia Unified teachers and staff have been working tirelessly to ensure our students continue to receive the high-quality education they are used to. Our District’s top priority is to ensure our students are equipped with the resources they need to be successful.
